its unlicenced gambling. its like having a las vegas w/o taxation. like having a lottery w/o taxation or control.
think back to roaring 20's and gangsters, elliot ness etc...

    Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

This little amendment seems to be universally ignored by Uncle Sugar.

Witness all the federal regulatory and law enforcement agencies, none of which is authorized by the Constitution. Since they are not authorized, seems to me the Tenth Amendment SPECIFICALLY UN-AUTHORIZES them.

If you are drawing a Federal paycheck, and your job description isn't enumerated in the Constitution, you are stealing from me, and I don't like it.

Vick is a licenced (or was) dog breeder. If he has sold one dog out of state or feeds them dogfood that was made in another state, he is subject to their jurisdiction. The Feds stretch the interstate commerce clause to get their fingers in everything.

I believe the federal aspect of the charges came from his trafficking in fighting dogs across state lines,.......not the fights themselves.

The people go in the ring on their own accord, and in most cases do not fight to the death!!!!

The dogs don't have that option!!!!

I hope they prosecute the over payed Vick to the fullest extent of the law!!!!

the Feds are involved because of the transport of the dogs and money across state lines for the purpose of illegal gambling

If you are drawing a Federal paycheck, and your job description isn't enumerated in the Constitution, you are stealing from me, and I don't like it.

And if you're drawing a federal paycheck and not working at all, then you are stealing from me and I REALLY don't like it. BTW, the federal gov't just passed $1,800,000,000 more agricultural subsidies welfare. But remember, it's only welfare if black people in cities get it.

Well the law also forgot this one.. [V][V][V]

"Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I would think that the Feds should concentrate their efforts on bigger problems, illegal immigration comes to mind. Looks like the folks hunting Osama could use a little help. How about rooting out some of the corruption in congress.

I think its great that there are dogs as game as pits. Fighting them is something I look down on. That ain't sport. First time you get caught doing it, pick up trash off the road for a few months. Second time, a public flogging, professionally done in a manner that you would run and hide if you ever saw a dog again.

I now have an American Bully, a breed that would do well in a pit and have owned pits and staffs before. None have had a mean bone in them and all were game, wouldn't back down from anything or anyone. Have never pitted any of them and have a pretty low opinion of anyone who does or allows that sort of behaviour.

There are folks out there who should not own a car and drive, we see them every day. There are folks who shouldn't own a firearm and there are folks who should not own a dog. Vick is one of those.

Vick is getting too much free media exposure from this. Be good for and of the NFL to just ban him from proffessional sports for life and just go on. Let the state prosecute and do their thing. Don't care that his moma thinks that he is a great foot ball player, he sure isn't much of a man, much less of a human pitting dogs.
