Gee that's strange. I'm lactose intolerant, so when I drink milk the bottom always falls out.

I always hear people who complain about gas prices get the retort, "yeah, but you pay more than that for a gallon of milk." True enough, but I use one gallon of milk a week, and 10 gallons of gas!

    About $3.50 here.

Yes but the grain that was used to feed the milk cows is being used so you can have ethanol. It cost more now to feed those cows and it costs more for your milk and other products.

It's all a big racket to squeeze money from the populace. The big oil companies have intentionaly caused a bottled neck with the fuels and now they are pushing ethanol which has been sited as being 27% less efficent than gasoline.

When ethanol reaches it's peak useage, we will be burning our food sources in our cars, trucks and motorcycles and then the real bitching will start.

I hope that the A merican people can get thru this con game without loosing too much in their lives!!!JMHO

$1.99/gallon in Sheridan - but then, they get it from the cows in the back of the store.

Milk truck driver for Dairymen(Flavorich) told me it would be $5.00 a gallon here by Fall. The farmer sure isnt getting a raise on his milk. And for some reason I have never understood the Goverment buys Dairy Farms just to shut them down? The driver told me that one gallon of milk strait out of the milk tank made about 8 gallons, then they make cheese with the leftovers from the milk, then they make what I love curd cheese with the waste products from the cheese and its expensive for a little bag of the little round pieces of cheese. Then somewhere in there they make cottage cheese. I cant understand whats going on?

I love me some cheese curd as well, we called it "squeeky cheese" when i was little.

Beef is the same way the price is nearly $3lb for burger and your right the farmer(s) ain't seeing a dime. lots of beef rancher around here and they are always griping that beef is high as its ever been but they still make the same $$$ per pound as they did 5yrs ago.

Yesterday, I bought a gallon, and so did my room mate. Then his girlfriend came over with 2 gallons because she knows how much milk we drink.

Time to get out the vodka, and kaluha.
