45 long colt/410
I was at the gun shop today, the owner was showing me a taurus 6 shot 45/410 3in. revolver want 400.00 for it If I didn't have so many guns and more coming from here I would have bought it it was so ugly it was cute

holy makeral thats it,I really think I want one I always keep a couple bird shot rounds in my 357 but hell with this thing you wouldn't have to worry about missing, the guy told me that they have a 6in barrel also. 0 -

That's right. She takes a 3"mag..410. I load mine with, 2-.410 #6's, 2-.410 Slugs, then 2-.45 Colt[;)] Just seems like an effective way to load her, to me ..[}:)] BTW. I don't think it's called "LONG COLT".

I heard that they have banned these things in several states, I bet its because it gives an unfair advantage to homeowners when the perps break in. I'd rather have a 6" he also says that there not getting any more untill next year that they have been back order for several months. 0 -

That's a pretty good trick. I can only squeeze 5 shots in mine and it will only take 2 1/2" .410 shells.0 -

No, it is not called a short barreled shotgun. It is called a revolver. Happens to have a rifled barrel. Have not seen any state ban these. When loaded with birdshot, would have a very limited effective range, since rifling makes pattern open up a great deal. If you have any hard info on these being banned, please post it. 0 -
Seems to me than any shotgun shell is designed and loaded so that the shot will reach its maximum velocity in the 18"+ of the barrel. Being a relatively low pressure acceleration, the shot needs all the barrel it can get. Therefore shooting a shotgun shell in a short barrel, like in a pistol, would produce very low velocity shot. Impressive muzzle blast though.
On the other hand, a 45 Colt is made for short barrels as found in pistols.

Several states have banned these...I'm not sure where you'd find a list though.0 -
We could start hypothesizing. Ummm...New Jersey, Hawaii, California...anyone else want to start guessing?
The .45 Colt has a lot of potential as a cartrige but factory loadings accomodate weaker older pistols that are still in use. I wonder if this pistol would stand up to a Buffalo Bore load.0 -

The .45colt can't tolerate the same pressure as the .44mag, because it has a thinner case, correct?
