A lot of dealers will not sign their FFL if it's going to a private individual. I even black out most of the FFL number, leaving only the portion necessary to do an EZ Check. A private individual has no need for a copy of the receiving dealer's FFL...you are not required to keep it on file, or anything like that.

If there is no restriction to send it to the FFL in Nevada and you check the copy of their license on FFL EZ check and you keep a record of the lincensee you sent the firearm to then you are ok. The receiving FFL will have to answer to any shady dealings.
The rifle may indeed be being transfered to someone in Nevada and is being paid for from someone in California.

Verify the FFL and if it's good then ship the rifle. End of story.

Your only obligation is to ship it to a valid FFL holder, run the EZ Check (which is where I'd stop), however, if you are still feeling uneasy about it, then look up the FFL's phone number online and give them a call. Though not quite the same but, I'm in LA. but have done several transfers of long guns to people in AR. The seller here on GB received a check from AR. and an FFL from LA. No big deal, like MVP said, it's my responsibility to make sure everythings on the up-n-up on my end.

Many pro gun people have moved from California to Nevada and Arizona. Others have dual addresses. I can't say for Nevada but Arizona has a snowbird residency.
