  A few years ago in a county that I hunt a father shot his son with a slug through the woods about 300 yards away. The shot was placed directly in his head as he sat in his treestand.
  
  Always be sure of your backstop, and even then freaky stuff happens. That father has to live with the fact that he shot at a skylined deer, and killed his son for the rest of his life.
