That the video got out is actually going to wind up being to the benefit of the bad guys more than us.
Even though there were no Americans in the building,.... ( If there had been, we'd have found the camera that Hajji had hidden in his ass.), we'll still be called barbaric and held responsible for letting it out to the internet. ( nevermind that the Taliban, and Iranians, and Saudis, have been doing the public execution thing since forever.)
The really really interesting thing that is going to come out of this is between the Shi'ites and the Sunnis.
I wasn't able to make out much from the audio portion of the video, but what I was able to make out was "ALI al Mohammad!!!" Listen to it again.... You'll hear the guys all saying "ALI! ALI!" They're Shi'ites......
Ali was the Great nephew of Mohammad. He was part of the cause of the split in Islam. it would be like all the people in Ford's Theater singing "I wish I was in Dixie" as Lincoln was being shot. it's a huge punch in the face to the sunnis. While it was good that he got the rope, this video is putting it in the wrong light. He was killed for being a murdering tyrant, not for being a sunni. But, all of the Shi'ites in the death chamber aren't helping the matter by yelling ALI.
at the end of the day, this will work to further inflame Sunnis. They'll lash out at Shi'it'es and will incur heavier reprisals, and further assistance from the Iranians( who are behind the whole thing.)
In my view, we have two options.
Option 1: We pull out and let the Saudis put their money where there mouth is and back the sunnis in Iraq against the Shi'ites. We can also help by Air support and Naval Support.. this is where our stelalth technology will be an advantage to us. The only reason that they'd know that there were an airstrike would be if we announced it. So, we don't announce it. Stuff just blows up. Just like the Iranians, we start fighting "by proxy." If our troops are off the ground, then the MEDIA will be off the ground, and we can better manage the situation in that area as well. Funny how we don't see Al Jazeera filming the bomb factories or at the nuclear reactors in Tehran.
Option 2: The updated Kennedy Doctrine. "Moving forward, it shall be the policy of this nation, that a terrorist attack against the US, deemed to be external in origin, shall taken as an attack by The islamic world collectively and shall be met with our full nuclear response. This will be followed by the immediate closure of all islamic religious institutions mosques and schools in the US, and the immediate cessation of all foreign aid and diplomatic missions to said countries.
