    The right to bear arms comes with responsibilities. If you can not meet or uphold those responsibilities, that right should be curtailed or taken away.

    About a year ago there was a Mom that was accidently shot by her 7-8 year old son ... As I remember, the Dad or some one came up from behind them, the Mom and kid turned around and kid accidently shot her in the back of the head.

    I kept thinking about this when Abby and I were at the range yesterday ... don't turn your back for a minute.

    Its a sad thing that kid is going to have to live with.

    When I taught my little girl how to shoot at about six years old she didnt like it much and said I was to strict and it was supposed to be fun. I don't take no crap where guns and me or my loved ones are concerned and there is no hair on my tonge when it comes to saying so to anybody. Now daughter enjoys shooting and has her concealed license and is a VERY safe and accurate gun owner. Sure bet its more fun to go shooting if nobody dies or gets shot! Damn straight.

    I guy I went to high school with was accidentally killed years ago by his son on a dove hunting trip in Mexico. It was similar to the Dick Cheney incident, but fatal.

    It will be very hard growing up for that kid knowing he has killed his own father that he loved. The son of my high school friend had many problems for years afterward.

    I have been shot twice on dove hunts by people I didnt know.

    When I taught my kids, one boy & one girl, to shoot, they got all the fundamentals and "strict" supervision. They turned out to be safe shooters, and my daughter is better on flying targets than my son.

    Dad taught me alright, and if i didnt abide by his set rules, no guns for me.
