    On a ridge top in the good ole hills of Kentucky. Sitting under a huge oak tree where I killed my first squirrel. Many moons ago.....The tree still looks the same. I've aged a little.

    I guess I intended this post to be about your favorite place OTHER than an outdoor venue, but I didn't make my thoughts clear at all. Good replies tho! Most are places I've never been.....

    hey...I just took the kids out to OBX this past weekend. Drove out to Nags Head, spent the night and drove down to Hatteras. Took the ferry over to Okracoke....what an unbelievable winter journey

    walked on the tidal flats at oregon inlet and drove on the beach somewhere north of waves....

    It is magic there this time of year

    We do an extended family and friends trip to Nags Head every other year for July 4th. We rent to huge beach front houses and pack 20+ people into each house for a week.
    It's a great time, and beautiful place, but I much prefer a trip to the mountains of Colorado.

    I already said my Favorite place is flyfishing the East side of Mount Rainier park and here is a little more info on it.

    Located in the southeast corner of the park, Ohanapecosh, named for a Taidnapam (Upper Cowlitz) Indian habitation site along the river, is thought to mean "standing at the edge." Situated among Douglas firs, western red cedars, and western hemlocks, visitors to Ohanapecosh can experience the beauty and complexity of an old-growth forest. The east side of the park is also somewhat drier and sunnier than the west side.

    Beautiful area and you can catch 30+ trout in an afternoon with dry flys.
    I guess it would be to me the equivilent of what a day spa is to a lady.
    Totally relaxing.


    On the other hand my favorite favorite spot is a day at the motocross track on my RMZ450 with friends.
    Nothing quite like blowing the cob webs out at the track.
    Summertime I am at the track twice a week.
