    nighhawk - reformat and reinstall....

If you really need a DOS box, and are willign to pay shipping, I've got some pentium class stuff in the garage. I think I even have an install set for MS DOS 6.22 (last version of pure dos) somewhere...

Its a Toshiba Satelite 425CDT/810. If I knew how to clear out the Hard Drive could I not download the software on a floppy from my other DOS computer and put it on this one? If so how do you clear the HD? 46270 offered me a Compaq 486 DOS Laptop for $75.00 thats my best option, but after replaceing a heat pump and a kitchen appliance within two weeks of each other my contingency funds are gone. If he still has it I hope to get it next month. My wife installed one of my software floppy disk hoping it would except it in english, it accepted it but turned it into spanish.

How do you reformat and reinstall? Or if I could clear the HD could I put all my DOS software on it from my other DOS 6.22 computer that the screen quit working on? If so would someone mind explaining how to do it? I cant believe how hard these things are to find.

Humm, if you like antique computers, I believe I have a Epson Notebook somewhere in the basement. It has a built in mini-cassette tape drive, 2" printer and 3 line LCD screen. What else could you ask for in a protable computer?

You have XP don't you? This is a DOS emulator:

I guess they even have a version that'll work on a Mac.

You have mail.. You can always sell your other one to a Spanish speaking person.

Do you suppose he'll be able to FIND a spanish speaking computer user ??

His best shot to sell it would be eBay - mexico city.

I'm sure there aren't any north of the border, who wouldn't want to use English.
