How do you make your choice - cologne

While shaving this morning, a question came to mind about after-shave or cologne (I must have 10 different ones). As with most things today our choices are endless. It may be the one that you like or the one that she likes. Could be the one someone gave you for Christmas, or ??????

Because this group seems imminently qualified to tackle about any subject, I pose the following questions.

What cologne or after-shave do you wear (most of the time)?
What is the reason for that particular selection?

I will begin. Black Stetson, because that is the one that she likes.

    An old girlfriend I know lives in Manhattan. Her mother is the cologne/perfume purchaser for Sachs 5th Ave. My old gf purchased my current bottle and several past bottles of cologne (Joop Nighflight, Joop in the red bottle, Cool Water and Chanel Platinum for Men currently).

    ..Nobody mentioned Hoppes #9 yet? I haven't used anything scented since high school, 33 years ago. If I did, probably Old Spice.

    it's not a big deal to me. I have an old bottle of polo I throw on when needed.

    except in the summer, when I want to pick up chicks, I spray myself with Deep Woods Off.

    I haven't worn aftershave or cologne for years. Last stuff I had was Old Spice.

    tapwater beat me to the Hoppes comment.

    But I think 'Hoppes for Women' would find a great market.

    Depending on the venue,I like to find the appropriate form of animal excrement and roll in it like my dog.Whitetail seems to be the most preferred.On the other hand I get the biggest reaction from the wife when I come home with another womans scent on me though.

    I only have one bottle that has been sitting on the shelf for almost 40 years. Don't know what it's called. Got it from an old girlfriend. That bottle, and a picture, are all I have to remember her by. Guess I don't use "stink pretty" much.

    I have a bottle of Old Spice from, I believe, 1978. Still has about 1/3 left. Morw has evaporated than been used. [:D]

    Kevin: I knew we had something in common. I have also used Pinaud Clubman daily (after shave) for probably 30 years. Only place I've ever found it--retail--is Walgreens.

    Special times----I wear Lagerfeld Classic cologne.

    Yea Clubman is hard to find. Walgreens, Ecards, and Longs are about the only places that carry it. Unless you find a good old fashioned barber (which is a dieing breed) that happens to have it.

    And actually I get more complements from ladies wearing it than anything else.
