More Executions Scheduled
The BBC listening service has reported that Iraqi TV said that Saddam's half-brother, Barzan al-Tikriti, and a former judge, Awad Al-Bander, will be executed at dawn tomorrow. no further info.
since it is currently about 1pm in Iraq, that would make the scheduled time about 10 PM CST (US).

After these two dance, there will, no doubt, be many, many more executions. I think that with the spectre of Saddam possibly returning to power no longer a threat, the Iraqis are going to focus on permanently neutralizing as many of his old guard Ba'athist supporters and as many of the convicted insurgents as they can. Brace yourself. It will not be pretty. But, it will be necessary if some sort of peace and control is to be restored in that country so that our men and women can get out of there relatively soon. I know that the Iraqis want us out just as much as we want to get out. We did our part plus much, much more. Now, they have to step up to the plate and unfortunately be more brutal that Western culture would like. 0 -

they want us out, to be sure, but they want to kill each other all the same. remember when the sunnis went and blew up the shiite mosque? that was their most holy mosque, that reall ypisse dthem off. well, with saddam dead, the sunnis (who supported saddam) went back to that blown-up mosque, busted the locks off the doors, and paraded around inside with a fake coffin with a fake dead saddam in it.
