obsolete router parts

My friends father is looking for parts for an older Craftsman router. He has 6-7 routers but this is his favorite! Does anyone know where he could find replacement parts that he needs?

    Model Number, approx age of the router would help, otherwise you are looking for a needle in a haystack.

    Yep, agree with classic. If you can't get parts through sears, maybe he can through whomever made the router(Black&Decker, etc). Other than that, scrounge second hand stores, pawn shops, yard sales, etc. Sorry, I don't think I was much help.

    Sears Craftsman Model# 315.17480 a guess? 15-20 years old.

    That is often very true....buy the same model from ebay, pawn shops, yard sales etc...then you will have parts for it .
