    Had a Choate E2 stock like that on my Mini14, loved it. Too bad I trashed the barrel... apparently 3500 rounds of rapid fire will do that...

    That is a Remington (yes, you read it right, Remington) Model 51 in .380cal. They were designed by Perderson, and to get around Colt's patents he used some ingenious tricks[:D] They were built from 1918 to 1934. Mine was built in 1922.
