What's your source for CR123 batteries?
I'm looking at picking up a dozen.
I see different mah ratings, 900 to 1300. Does that change the brightness?
Is Tenergy a name brand? A buck each, just under $20 for a dozen delivered,
from Shoreline Markets.
They are for my E2E [and deductable].
How about the rechargable types? Do they put out?

I use Energizer E2 Lithiums. I believe mine were $13 a package of two. They last forever, where the cheaper ones don't last as long. 0 -

Good call. I did notice it seemed to last longer with the OEM batteries.
Maybe even brighter? [Or maybe the night was especially dark when I had that impression].

mah stands for milli amp hour.It wont have a bearing on how bright your light is,But it will have a bearing on how long your light lasts. 0 -
surefire is cheaper than cheaperthandirt.com where I bought like 2 dozen @ $15/12 0 -

My E2E came with two long-lasting batteries [I don't think they were Surefire; maybe Panasonic?] and four Tenergy CR123A 3V batteries. The [made in China] Tenergys crapped out rather quickly. There is no expiration date or amperage rating on the Tenergys.
I read that many of the "discount" batteries on the market are near the end of their shelf life,
so this time [the first time I've bought this type] I opted, as advised here and from casual surfing, for a purchase from a company of reputation.
We're not talking camera batteries here. Good illumination will provide answers when others are .. in the dark. And my $35K week [net sales, so far] depends on the highest level of professional assessment.
There were 12-packs of Surefires on sleazeBay, but the accountability of a seller ends when the flashlight produces light. I can't imagine the manufacturer of the flashlight shipping doubius batteries, considering the dependability required by their largest group of users. So, for an extra 8% or so, I went with the sure bet.
Did the "123" in CR123" originallly refer to a 1230 mah rating?
