Pauline's Ranch Beans (recipe)
These beans are GRRRRRRREEEAAATTT! Fantastic with barbeque. Makes a lot! Recipe handed down from my mother. Just in time for the 4th!
Pauline's Ranch Beans
1 to 1-1/2 lbs. grd. beef or chuck (browned & drained)
2 cups chopped onion
1-2 cups chopped green bell peppers
1/4 cup veg. oil
1 cup ketchup
2 TBSP mustard
2 tsp vinegar
2 cans Pork-n-Beans (15oz)
1 can Kidney beans (15oz)
1 TBSP chili powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 TBSP hot sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/8 tsp garlic powder
Add all ingredients to a "large" (recommended 8 qt.) saucepan and simmer
(covered) until onion and peppers are tender
