Walther P38/P1 ammo question

Just a quick question.

Anyone have luck getting one of the (NOT a WWII vintage)police trade-in P38/P1's to fire HP ammo? Years ago I had an old steel frame "mix-master" from the war that disliked anything but ball ammo. Just wondering if the aluminum framed police guns from the 70's and 80's are better at HP's.

  I cant speak for sure as I never had one of the old ones. I have 2 of the newer Models and they shoot anything you feed thrm. Most come with the older holsters and a few other goodies. I enjoy shooting mine and its accurate. I put the other one in the back of my safe.

  Remington Golden Sabres will work in mine, a 1961 model.
