Anyone else watch "Everest: Beyond the Limit"?
I'm not a fan of "reality tv", but I'll admit I'm hooked on this one...
A guy is attempting to climb the mountain TWICE in a 10 day span.....Never been done before

I was struck by the (I think) dozen or so bodies which are supposed to be up there which no one has the strength to lug back down and bury! 0 -

A 900 lb guy in a wheel chair who then used a glider to get down... didn't impress me.
I think it was cool when it didn't cost $30,000 on the low end to do it.0 -

There are about 45 bodies still on the mountain that they know about. Over 125 have been killed trying to climb Everest. I went there in 1998 as part of a treking group and we visited Base Camp. It was very interesting to be sitting there and talking to a group of people that you know will suffer some fatalities in a short time. Kind of like before going to war I guess.0 -

Are you talking about the double amputee that climbed it last year?
It was impressive, but I thought it was stupid.....a Sherpa had to carry him down the mountain.
There are some legitimate bad-asses in the world.....Sherpas certainly fit the bill0 -
Been hooked on the show for awhile now.[;)] 0 -
As mentioned.... that mountain is littered with dead bodies up and down the trails.
It must be real encouraging for hikers to come upon dead people as they try to make their way to the summit.0
