What is it about carring cocked and locked?

I just cant make myself do it, I know its a very safe system as long as you have common firearms knowledge. I carry my Glocks with a round in the chamber with no problem, and thats not as safe as the 1911 cocked and locked carry. Is it just me I can not make myself carry a cocked and locked handgun. Do any of you 1911 owners feel uncomfortable carrying cocked and locked?
