Need some opinions please

So I have been talking to my friends about Kerry because I am becoming more and more irritated with the Democrats, and I was approached with the subject of stem cell research.
Not all republicans are against this, but Bush is. What do you guys think about stem cell research?
It is one issue that I would go with Kerry on, but I still don't think it is NEARLY enough to rationalize voting for him.

    On the Smith & Wesson Sigma series. Good, bad or indifferent. Is $250 worth it?

    Depends if it's an early or later model. From what I understand early ones bad, later ones fair. Thats all I know about the Sigma. Somebody will be along who has the facts and can further explain.

    Bad, very bad. There are a rare few I've heard of that performed well, but that has only been a few people on the net who said they had a good one. I had one about 10 years ago, and it was a dog. Plagued with various failures. I also worked for a PD that used them breifly, after about 12 months they sent them all back and got glocks. Every single Sigma the PD bought had to be sent off for repairs in the first 6 months.

    I bought a 40 that was ok but have sence sold it. Nothing to write home about

    I don't claim to know much about them, but have heard about multiple issues.
    I have never cared much for the S&W autos, but that is just my opinion.[;)]

    The early ones did have many problems. However, the last generation is very good! I have a friend that has one in 40 and it has never ever even tried to give a problem. I wouldn't hesitiate to buy a NEW one, or at least one produced since 2004. And at $250, it ain't that much money.

    I have one chambered for .40 and it shoots good but I never take it out of the safe. I would not recommend one to anyone.
