Anybody had Interlasik done on their eyes?
Been wearing glasses since third grade and contacts since sixth. I just scheduled a consultation to see about getting the interlasik correction done. A friend works for a Dr. that does it and I can get a discount. Just wondering if anybody here has done it?

i had the old fashion regular lasik done back in february of 2002, my vision was 20/600 and now 5 1/2 years later it is still 20/10. it was the best money i ever spent. 0 -
I have a small scar on my left cornea (thanks to my older brother throwing rocks when we were kids) it probably could be fixed with a laser. My right eye corrected itself to 20/15 to make up the difference. 0 -
A few guys on my Fire Dept. have had it done and both say it is some of the best money that they ever spent..... 0 -
I don't know what Interlasik is but I had the lazer surgery done on mine quite a while ago. I went from 20/650 to 20/30 & it hasn't changed since. I could have gone back to have another correction within the first year but I decided to leave well enough alone.
They make you read about all the things that can go wrong & if that doesn't scare you then you didn't read it very well.0 -
Wonderful Daughter Andrea had it done about 3 months ago. She didn't look for a discounted price, she wanted the best possible work. It was done at Oregon Health Sciences University and cost $4,000.
Corrected to 20/10, each eye.

My buddy from college, Jerry, is an RN. He had the laser surgery at Emory University Hospital four years ago. Something went wrong, and his eyes have not been the same since. He says it feels like there is sand under his eyelids.
He still hunts birds, but had to give up deer hunting because he can't see through the scope.0
