Another Computer Question ?
I recieved the power cord for the AST 910N with DOS software in the mail today. It seems the computer works? But it say when it turns on it says invalid system disk replace the disk and press any key?? I dont have a disk, Im thinking maybe we just dont have the system set up correct. It has options to Boot from Floppy Drive, Hard Drive or Power Station. But each time it says Invalid system disk,Replace the disk and then press any key. I hate to keep asking questions, I appreciate all the help you have already given me. But now I have everything I need except the smarts to figure it out?

Is there a floppy disk in the floppy disk drive? If so, just push the eject button to punch it out and then hit any key to resume the boot process. If it still does not boot, you may not even have a hard drive in the machine to boot from, or the hard drive does not have an operating system installed on it to boot from. 0 -
No disk in it, Im afraid it doesnt even have the software to boot up? Is there a way to tell or download DOSS of the internet and install it on a floppy disk? 0 -

I thought in your other question you had said that you had DOS on it and it was running? If not, and you are sure there is a hard drive in it, you will have to find a copy of DOS on floppy and load it. DOS 6.22 was the latest, if I remember right, and it was on 3 disks. Don't know where you can get it though anymore. Truly, I am afraid you are in an exercise of futility.0 -
to get this computer where you need it to be is going to take hands on from a person who knows how to do it, even with directions from members here you may run into surprises that we cannot diagnose, as it sits you should be able to get into the bios and set up, but without some Pryor knowledge or a education on how to do so your going to experience more frustration than it is worth
if i had it in front of me i may have the items you need to get it running, if you are willing to ship it to me i will be more than glad to help you if it can be fixed, and no other issues are present that would prevent it from operating
here is my latest project

I really thank you all, 1911A1 fan this is a most generous offer, but I believe Im going to finally call it quits. It wont boot up under any of the 3 options(Which I have no disk). It is supposed to have DOS according to the Ebay discription. Again thanks to you all. 0
