Falcons Coach Needs a New Job
Coach Jim Mora just got fired.
A few months ago, Mora's dad, former NFL coach Jim Mora Sr., called Michael Vick a "coach killer."
He knew what he was talking about.

The Falcons are notorious for laying their hopes on over rated players like Vick, Anderson, and Sanders. They need to get real talent and stick with it and stop fooling around with flash in the pan showboaters. But that's just my opinion. 0 -
IMO, the Falcons should have kept Mora and traded Vick.
Scrambling and running quarterbacks tittilate the announcers and fans but in actuality, only disrupt the focus of a team and the flow of the offense and game strategy. Michael Vick is, IMO, a truly great athlete, but a lousy quarterback. Another great scrambler, Fran Tarkenton, for all the records he set, couldn't get it done either.
At some point, Vick has to let the coaches call the plays and the 10 other guys on the field with him step up and play the game from their end or get benched, cut, traded, etc. from the team. I believe it's very difficult for the wide receivers, tight end and backs to maintain game focus when it inevitably becomes a one-man team.

I agree boys, Vick is a one man team and a showboater. Notice how many times he "gives up" on the pass patterns too soon, and takes off running. This is because he wants the credit for a forty yard scramble, rather than letting a receiver get the glory. What is worse, a QB who has just scrambled for forty yards, in which he ran eighty yards, is tired, and won't be passing too well for the next few plays. As a result of all his running, Vick also gets injured a lot.
The understudy to Vick is a great QB, 6 foot 5, great arm. When the rules allow, he will hit the road, and he will be a great starter for somebody.
Remember, the Falcons are the geniuses who took a rookie QB from Mississippi, let him ride the pine for a year, and then cut him. His name was Bret Favre.
Vick is the highest paid player on the team at 13M a year, he gets lots more money than the coach. He is, possibly, the most famous person in the State of Georgia. He has five or six years remaining on his contract. If a new coach comes in, and gets into disputes with the Superstar, that coach will soon be fired.0
