Which of these 2 are best?

I need a scope to replace the one on my .270, Im on a tight budget because we just paid our property taxes and they took most of my spending money. The first one is a Simmons 8 Point 4x12x40, its $56.00. The other is a Bushnell Sportsmen 4x12x40 and its on sale for $69.00. I know this is far from the good glass but one should work until after Christmas anyway. Which of the 2 do you think is best? I really appreciate your advice.

  I think I would go with the Simmons at this point.

  I would go with the other guys on this one, out of that pair the Simmons is the better scope.

  Another vote for the Simmons. Just bought a Savage rifle package and they come with the Simmons 8 point scopes. Like you said, not great glass, but they are a pretty decent little scope(especially for the price). It has withstood the recoil of my .325 WSM so far and held zero(the same can't be said about the rings, but thats off the subject).

  I'd go with a simmons. I've had really good luck with mine. It was another package deal from Savage. Just make sure your rings are tight. (I learned that last year)
