Surgery...wish me luck. UPDATE
Going to have some bone spurs removed from my elbow tomorrow morning. I've only had one other surgery in my life and it was almost 15 years ago. I hate hospitals. I think my problem is mostly about my control issues. I didn't sleep much last night and my stomach is a mess today.
The only good news is I might get a day or so to sit around the house a boost my post count.[8D] No telling what might come out when I add a few pain killers to the mix.
Heading out for my pre-op in abou1 10 min. Wish me luck.

Best from me too. Had a bersa removed from an elbow a few years ago, and it was easy money, got to sit around and watch movies for a couple of days too. Hope yours goes that well. 0 -

Godspeed on your full recovery. Tell the doc you are super nervous. He has some good stuff available for it. 0 -
I've had spurs removed before ,depending on how much bone they mess with has alot to do with how much pain you have in recovery. I was happy for the pain killers for ablut 4 days.
then the recovery was getting the range of motion back. Stick to the plan and you will be glad you did it.0 -
Thanks guys (and HBBG). Pre-op was a snap. I've waited a long time to have this elbow worked on. Should have done this 10 years ago. O well. With any luck I'll be ready for some raquette ball soon. 0 -
Glad you done so well, best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.

Probably do the procedure with a local anesthaesia. Might even be good enough to walk out of the OR. Best, Joe 0 -

Just got the call from the hospital. Surgery scheduled for 0730 tomorrow need to be there by 0600. No food or drink after midnight so my wife is going to take me out for dinner. 0 -
Best of luck to you 0 -
I pray you have a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. 0 -
hope you're having fun with it. 0 -
You'll be fine. Enjoy the free TV, and have the missus bring the ER staff and floor nurses a box of Tim Hortons or Dunkin Donuts in the morning when she comes to visit. Mike did that for me when I was in the hospital. Worked like a charm.
Guaranteed to get you proper attention.0 -

Fun? It hasn't started yet. But once it does I'd hardly describe it as fun. Frankly, I'm terrified.0 -

If they keep me overnight I'll give this a try. It is outpatient surgery but it will be with a general not a local anesthetic. Too much bone grinding to be local.0 -
