Some people have nothing beter to do
I just got a call from my supervisor. It seems a captain from the police department called and complained that I was sitting around the lobby of the local restaurant. I explained I was in there getting a cup of ice for water. Stood for a minute to let the waitress finish getting ice for her orders then left. She said she had to check since it was a complaint from the police. Some cops got nothing better to do than go around causing trouble. I suppose I could complain that don't get a lunch break in an eleven and half hour day to fifteen hour day. I don't rush the waitresses because the owner does not charge me for my beverages.

The post I work does not care what I do as long as I stay on site. I can sit at the desk greeting visitors or go out and patrol the lot. Every once in a while to stretch my legs I get up and patrol the building. Lunch of course is at the desk and get interrupted sometimes by visitors. I have a 2 way radio with the reception desk in case of trouble and also have a phone that goes 1/2 mile to get incoming calls from the employees. That is the only thing that makes it bearable.0 -
Are you a LEO? If not whats the police got to say about it? There was a bar in my area that was a big booming place. During the weekends (I work 8PM-4AM)I would always make a walk through around 11:00 PM just to be seen and remind some folk they should not be driving. The Bar Owner appreciated it too, I never went in with the intention of making an arrest unless it was someone who had a Felony warrant on them. My Supervisor took several complaints over seeing my cruiser setting at a bar, I had no business there unless I was called there. I got a certificate of appreciation for doing it when I got my annual raise. 0
