Help with a Prairie dog hunt
One of my buddies in Wisconsin volunteered to set 3 of us up with a prairie dog hunt this year in S. Dakota. I called him today and he told me he hasn't set things up and he recently injured his back. The rest of us from Florida (3 of us) would like to set something up if possible. Can someone point in in the right direction to get a trip set up? I went on one hunt before just outside Douglas Wyoming but someone else set everything up for us. I don't really know where to start looking for a place. Any help is appreciated.

I did a wild card on "prarie dog hunts" and this is the 1st of many that came out.
Good luck & take LOTS of ammo

Here is a link to a post I made on another site. It contains pretty much everything about hunting prairie dogs in SD.

http://www.river-view-lodge.com/ This one of many and does give you some options. You can google SD guided prairie dog hunts for many more. You can also check the Oglala Sioux tribe at Pine Ridge SD website for more options 0 -
Good luck to ya! I killed a large male that had come out where I have my homemade range. My wife told me about it and I went out and shot him. She ask why I killed him he wasnt eating our tomato plants or my wifes flowers. I told her the truth, I put thought in to killing it before I did. The property owner who joins our property has it leased out to horses. If a horse stepped in a hole that would be the end of the horse. If you stop them before they get started you can avoid alot of holes from a family. 0
