    Have slept in less than a teepee at colder temps- 18 month tour, Infantry, Northern Alaska. Photos are marvelous- the aurora is fricking HARD to photograph- you are trying to take pictures of light itself. Remember a few nights that sky lit up from Northern horizon all the way to the Southern- and West to East. Entire sky was lights, moving and shifting. When that happened, just turn the radios off and save the batteries- either nothing worked, or you could reach Argentina.
