Moral of the story... fall down a well when you are a baby, and get a million or more dollars.

The "parents" didn't do to badly either. Failed to supervise their child, ended up with new house and money in the bank.

I am not sure if this is what you are refering to but, several years ago there was an article about her in stuff magazine. The problem was.. the sory was about her... but the picture used of a lady next to a well was someone else. There was a little bit od a roar about it but then it died down.

this is the first test tube baby

"In 1995, paramedic and rescuer Robert O'Donnell, who wriggled into the passageway and slathered a frightened Jessica in petroleum jelly before sliding her out into the bright television lights, shot and killed himself at his parents' ranch outside Midland.

His brother, Rick, has said O'Donnell's life "fell apart" because of the stress of the rescue, the attention it created and the anticlimactic return to everyday life."

I remember hearing about this suicide at the time it occurred. O'Donnell had some kind of birth defect wherein he could deliberately dislocate both shoulders. He was a skinny guy to begin with, and he dislocated his shoulders, and was thus able to slide down into the tiny hole and rescue Jessica.
As I recall it was several years of booze and dope, unemployment, rehab etc. prior to his death.
    Tragic story for Robert O'Donnell.
