Broke my leg: Update

Update: Well, I am doing a lot better. I never had read this thread, I was on so much pain dope, hard to work the computer back then, it seems like two years ago.
I really appreciate all the kind remarks from y'all Gunbroker members.
I still have to go four more weeks on crutches, no weight on the right leg. Because my leg was pinned under the tree for thirty minutes, I mean, there must have been 500 to 1,000 pounds on that calf, I suffered bad crushing injuries to the lower leg, on top of the broken femur. I have developed a wound, or a hole, really, in the leg, behind the knee, caused by the damage to the tissue from the weight of the tree. So they stuck a tube in the wound, and sealed it with this special sticky plastic, and I have to lug around a two pound pump for three weeks. Real pain in the ass. The circulation is real bad in the leg, when I stand up the foot turns red, and won't turn white again until I lay down and elevate the leg. All kinds of damage to the capillaries and veins. This is going to be damaged for quite a while.
I asked the doc today, "I was pinned for a half hour. Had I been pinned for an hour, would the leg have been amputated?"
    He said, "Hell, yes."
    So I was pretty lucky.
I got four three inch screws in the femur, no cast thank God.

I didn't remember the "black testicles" trick with the nurses, but this is what I did. I was in the ER, in excruciating pain, I also had a badly dislocated kneecap, and dislocated knee. I was on morphine and Versed. Well, there was a cute, young, stacked RN working on me. There was also another nurse, an ER doc, and a PA all working on me.
I looked up at them and said, "I am in complete shock. I am so doped up I don't know what is going on. Look, if I reached up and started squeezing this pretty nurse's tits, I couldn't be charged with a crime, now could I? I mean, legally I am not in my right mind."
That cute nurse gave me a big smile. All four of them busted out laughing, the doc said, "Well I never have been asked that before, I think you make a good point."

By the way, I am very experienced at cutting down big trees. This tree was 100 foot tall, 18 inches diameter. I have cut down over a thousand trees of this size, or bigger, never got hurt before. It is unusual for a tree to go tobaggoning down a hill, though I have seen it once or twice.
I just got a little sloppy that day, and I am paying for it.
But, I came very close to death, and very close to amputation, so I am, in a way, very lucky.
Also, thank God, I had a guy down with me in the woods, who could go for help. I often do this type of work by myself, with no one knowing what I am doing, I live way out in the North Carolina wilderness.
It would have been a grim day, laying there with that tree on your leg and waiting to die. No one could have heard me yelling.
I don't know, after a while, the arteries would have burst and you would have bled to death, would have taken hours, what a bad way to die that would have been.

I figured I had the green light for a feel, but I didn't do it.
She might not have thought that was funny, at least while three other people were watching.
I didn't try to get her phone number, I was in such a fog of pain and morhpine and Versed, I wasn't much in the mood to try to pick up chicks.
Plus my girlfriend showed up at the ER ten minutes later, she has since moved in to my house, to help me out.
Plus, I am 56, that nurse was 26, looks like a pretty big generation gap. What, three months after the injury, when I can drive again, I go over to her place and she is playing Rap music on the stereo, I would have to just turn around and go back home.

I want to thank all of y'all again for your kind words, it helps, I really appreciate it.
