First batch is Fermenting right now...
A Pale Ale is the first batch. I followed the steps thus far. Let's see how it goes. It's fermenting as of now? 2-3 weeks until bottling.

Does it smell like a baby's diaper?0 -
Is this your first rodeo? 0 -
Just remember when bottling--cleanliness is key. Also, when you bottle, taste your wort first--if it's gone south, you will know... 0 -

Part of the instructions are to taste the wort in 7-10 days. Should be flat and not sweet.
Yup, this is my first time around.
Actually it smells like Pumpkin, caramel, and brown sugar. At least the Wort smelled like that before I put in the yeast. Then is smelled like a sort of bread.0 -

Did you go with a kit for this batch? If so what "brand" did you use?
I wanted to make another batch of Black berry wine this Fall. But it was so dry that the berries around here would dry on the vine before that ever got really ripe. About all of our berries and grapes did. So if I make a fall batch of anything it will most likely be Peach Brandy. Then maybe later in the winter buy a Fruit flavor kit from someone.0 -
Wine from rhubarbs is superduper good othervise...But it's probably to late in the season for them now...(they get woody). 0 -
