Went out back today
I went out in my back woods today for the first time in 2 weeks.
At that time I put one of those deer minrel blocks (30lb block from Tractor Supply). It has beem pawed all around it and half of it is gone!
I put out some deer cane and liquid minrel lick close to the same area and a wick with some doe in heat on it and put up my blind.
As soon as the kids get on the bus in the morning I will be going back there and see if I can have any luck![;)][:D]

Salt and minrel block on private land are fine here. I have never gotten a straight answer on corn so I have not put any out (I have 4 bags in my storage building).0 -

I'm useing a Marlin lever 30-30. I do have a scope on it but I can also look under the scope and use the iron sights if I want.
My area out back will only be about a 40 yard shot (maybe 50) so iron sights are not a bad way to go.0 -
