Door bell?

Does anyone use the battery type door bells. Do they work. I have three doors and can't hear a knock when the TV is blasting.

    Yes they work. I was surprised how load they were. Batteries lasted a year them we moved.

    We have one at work on the top floor. All doors are locked and visitors need to let someone know they are here somehow so they added the bell. Works for them, but the sticky came off this week and the doorbell fell off.

    I have a battery powered pushbutton at the door, and two doorbell ringers in the house on switched outlets. One in the living room and one in the bedroom. I can turn the outlet off if I don't want to be disturbed.

    I bought a set of the ringer and pushbutton at Home Depot and bought a seperate ringer for the other room.

    So far, they have worked great. I have had to replace the battery in the pushbutton already though. Less than a year but it may have been cheap as it was the original.

    I think even with three doors, if you buy the same brand/model, each pushbutton will activate all ringers.

    While living in Nebraska, I had one that would fail to work if the temp outside got below about 10 degrees. As soon as it warmed back up it would work again. Otherwise, they seem to be fine.

    We have a pushbutton battery powered doorbell on the rental house. Works well.
