Another new seller with a lesson to learn

Yep, I've went so far in the past to e-mailed people like that once in a while, pointing out what would happen to their account. Some thanked me for the heads up, most didn't even bother to respond, and some even went so far as to respond with snot. Well, the bad ones ruined it for everybody, so let 'em find out the hard way. 0 -
I know people who offer paypal as a form of payment and then just describe the item as something other then a firearm. As long as both parties agree to that paypal would never know. You have to beat them at their own game.
I personally would never use Paypal for a firearm transaction because I always think it could be a paypal sting operation.0 -
I dumped my Paypal account years ago...There is no way I would want them to profit in any way from my deals on line....[:(!] 0 -
Ok I actually contacted Paypal on this... Paypal being anti_gun is myth... Do a little research... It is required that you pre register with them proving that you are in fact a licensed FFL.... It is against their policy to sell or buy from firearms and receivers and reciever parts if they are not a pre-registered user... Now I don't know how easy this process is, but it is available to those who have the ability to read the fine print... 0 -

I've used PayPal hundreds of times within their guidelines without a problem...It is their company and they should be free to run it as they please... Personally I don't think that the pre-registration requirement is a bad thing... I sure wouldn't want some distrurbed youth buying a gun a wasting fellow students with my name linked to the transaction... would you? 0 -

People sell guns person to person all the time over the internet...these gun sales still have to go through a dealer and background checks are made. PayPal is anti-gun. They will not allow you to purchase a gun from another individual with their service. You can only purchase from a dealer...a dealer who is registered with them. They will never get my business.0 -

Yes and people sell parts on ebay that are illegal all the time as well....I have personally seen hundreds of receivers listed and the deal completed... And if you have searched much at all you have had to have seen them... As long as mama Ebay chooses to allow gunparts sales, duaghter PayPal is going to be caught between a rock and a hard place...
PayPal is an excellent service and I have yet to see an arguement that would make me see it otherwise.0 -

I ship several handguns through the USPS every month. I have three going out today. The USPS requires me to follow their rules of shipping handguns and file a form 1508 Statement Of Shipper Of Handguns in order to be in compliance. They will not allow person to person shipping and if you get caught you are in deep doo doo.
I view these rules much the same as what paypal requires for internet payment of pirearms.0 -
Paypal sucks IMHO [:D] 0 -

So does the USPS.
I think everyone should be able to ship firearms without them prying into our business.0 -

Interesting comment but it just don't deliver that KO punch to knock me off the PayPal band wagon.....0 -
The seller has since modified the auction. There is now a comment that he will only take money orders as he was informed PayPal does not allow gun sales. 0 -

Nice to know one seller that was glad that someone told him about a problem with his auction. Just goes to show you not all people are a-holes. [^]0
