Deer on the Range
Three times in the past week and a half, There where Deer on the range when people were sooting. Last Sat trap shooting two deer where at the bottom of the range, While we were shooting. There was broken clays landing all around them, While shot was flying just over them. All they did was look up every now and then. Or maybe jump a couple steps then go back to eating grass. Fri there was one on the berm (back stop) at the 100yrd range. Not 15 feet from were rounds where impacting. She just walked down the berm eating leaves off of scrubs, While we were shooting wright in her direction. Then today at the trap range the deer were out again. With not a care in the world.
Has anyone else had this happen to them.

Yep quite a few times, last time was about a year ago. I was sighting in a rifle at 100 yards and one walked right in front of my line of sight while grazing on some grass. had to go out there and shoo them away. 0 -
Not the deer around my place. When I make wind, they head for the hills. I guess they heard what I did to their grandaddy. 0 -
Yep. We have them come out and wonder around our silhoutte range all the time. They have been on the club their whole lives and nobody has ever shot at them. They have also gotten used to the shooting, so they don't care. 0 -

Deer will eventually take advantage of any clearing where their's good grazing, as long as their not shot at or chased.

I've had deer and turkeywalking on our range. They didn't stay when the shooting started but, they were in new hurry to leave either. They just kind of meandered off to the woodline on the left and came back out when we were done. 0 -
I've had deer bedded right behind my backstop that didn't move until several shots had plunked into the RR ties 10' from them and then they just walked 50' and stood looking at me moving around the bench.
On tv last week there wer pronghorns walking around on the range where they were shooting Barrett 50 cals. over the top of them.0
