Indiana State Police SWAT on Break.com
Hey everyone,
Check out:
http://www.break.com/index/swat_training_backfires.html
"DESCRIPTION
Members of the Indiana State Emergency Rescue Team are taking part in a SWAT entrance breach training exercise. Something tells me they used a little too much explosives."
This is very funny, I had to watch it twice before I sent it out.
My guess is:
They said it was just a closet, I'm guessing that all the pressure went in the closet, up and back over the wall causing the ceiling to come down.
Read some of the 330 comments that are posted. You can tell that lots of the people the look at Break are anti-LEO. They talk about how they had it facing the wrong way and other things they did wrong.
I really like this comment from what looks like a 12 year-old kid.
quote:These guys don't know what they're doing : I play counterstrike, and if I had been there, I would have told them to just line it with flashbang grenades. That way, the explosive force wouldn't throw them back but it would be enough to take the door off of its hinges.
He has no clue about a Flashbang. I have thrown them and had many tossed at me in training.
I think it might have been a good idea to have everyone have a helmet on.
Rule Number 1 when videoing training: Never put it on the Internet.
One last thought, "This is why we train."

Zulu7,
I had looked at the last 2 pages of posts and then found the video on Break. The video says it was posted 9 hours ago, it was about 11:00am when I found it. The other posting about it was at "Posted - 04/12/2007 : 8:33:36 PM" this makes no since to me how it was put up here before it was on Break.
I'm not gripeing at you or anything, I hate when stuff gets posted more than once also. I just don't know how it was this time. The last posting on the other one was yesterday "Posted - 04/12/2007 : 11:53:03 PM" over 11 hours before I found something that was put up 9 hours ago.
Also, I think my title will get more hits. [:p]
Oh, well this won't be the last time things get posted twice. [:)]0 -
I remember a few years ago, swat was saying they needed AT-4 as door breachers[:D] 0 -

Elian has been staying with a great-uncle and other family members in Miami since his rescue off Florida in November
It took an INS army to capture one little boy and send him bach to castros cubia...another muff for janet rino [wonder woman or what ever it was] Police should not be para-military[V]0 -
officer Larry: "I wonder what went wrong, I only put one breaching charge on"
officer Curly: "you're crazy, I put the charge on"
officer Moe: "you're both nuts, I put the breacher in"
...
all three: "we ALL put a breaching charge on"
(adapted from the Three Stooges "Three Little Beers")0 -

That's right we should call in the Military anytime a situation is above the training and/or equipment of the local road officers.
Never mind that it may take many hours for them to get to where they are needed to rescue your family that is being held hostage by the guy you PO'ed at work yesterday.
I get very tried of hearing all the LEO, Firefighter or EMS bashing. Yes, we are held to a higher standard than the rest of the population and that is not all bad since we do things that most others can't or wont. I go into a persons home that I have never meet and they are glad to see me there. How many of you here would get that kind of a response? The downside of this is when we do something that a person that works in a factory, I'm not picking on factory workers there are just lots of them, does we get on the front page of the paper and are the lead story on the nightly news. Most times it has nothing to do with our jobs, it's just that we are LEO's, FF's & EMS. The next time you hear about one of us doing something wrong/bad think about if the person was a factory worker if it would have be news worthy or not.
Yes, there are some bad eggs among us just like in any job, we're not all perfect, sorry.
Yeah, this kind of struck a nerve with me, I don't know if this was what elvjeep was think or talking about. If it was not sorry elvjeep I don't mean anything personal.0 -
smokeeater 38 Does this mean you don't love me anymore????[:D] 0 -
When you work for government and you're being paid with tax dollars, you're going to be under the microscope from all sides. It isn't just LEOs. Not much room for error.
If a factory worker screws up, that's the company owner's problem. Doesn't matter to the public. LEO screws up, people think, "That could have been me". No escaping that mindset and the anamosity that develops from it.0 -
