I used to live on the East side (recently in the news as being flooded) of Coffeyville Ks. This is basically the "dark" side of town. Hearing gunfire at night was common.
Once there was minor fender bender car wreck in front of our house. We were standing out there watching the local police do their thing. Then gunfire erupted down the block. The cops said "Oh poop, let's get out of here!". Told the drivers to exchange info and left quickly.0 -

Gunshots are common in Cleveland. If I hear one close, I calmly duck down below window level and head for the basement. Loaded double barrel next to me, so I sit down and load some more ammo.
