suppressors and class 3????

I have my eye on one of these

What trouble is it to get this? I have never dealt with anything class three.What is the difference between the transfers.(more money more paperwork?)I also see listings that claim the tax stamp has been paid. What does that mean?

  My suppressor couldn't have been easier. MD is one of the easier class 3 though because all you do is drive to the main police state police station and all paperwork is signed off on within 2 weeks.
  
  The store took care of the rest, just got fingerprinted, hand carried that and 2 photos.
  
  3 months later, I picked it up.
  
  I am not sure about the $200 tax he is talking about being paid, I am pretty sure you have to do it again when it transfers to you.
  
  You should definately do it if it is legal in your state and LEO sign-off is not an issue.
  
  Call a class3 dealer in your state for the skinny on the process.

  The orginal owner of a suppressor is required to pay the $200 tax stamp. The fee to transfer one is $5.

  same here, my county sheriff signed off on my paper the deay i took it to him. 3 months later went and picked it up, pretty cool when i first got it, probably have not shot it year or so.

  All NFA items require $200 transfers from Form 3 (dealer) to Form 4 (private end user) or back. The ONLY NFA item that transfers for $5 are AOW (Any Other Weapons). Those fees go to the ATF, dealers usually charge $50 - $100 to do the paper work unless you buy the item from them.
  
  
  Current transfer time see to be about 30 days.
  
  
  The best/easiest way to do a transfer is to find a local Class 3 dealer and talk to them. Things seem to vary slightly from place to place due to local laws and that is where the dealer is a big help. For most transfers you will need a dealer anyhow so it is the best place to start.

  Own a P22 with a ACC muzzle Pilot in 22cal.
  More fun than a barrell of monkeys, super quite due to CNC machined sprial baffle core.
  Just about every 22 I own is threaded for it.
  Of all the suppressors that I own, the 22 muzzle can is the must versiable, and the biggest "Quietest Bang" for the buck.
  Single time transfer is $200.
  Stay with the well know big makers, GemTech,AWC,Bowers,AAC.
  People have been having problems with AAC on delivery the past year.
  You pretty much get what you pay for in 22 suppressors, expect to pay $500-$800 for a top quality one.
  Dont waste your time or money on washer based baffled cans.
