Wheat Pennies were going for 6 cents each at the gunshow this last weekend. He says he buys them by the thousands sorry to bust your Treasure find.[:D][:D][:D]

Woa! A 1917 wheat penny from the Delaware mint! That's awesome! I'm sorry to say that it's worth about a penny. [:D] Had it been un-circulated it would be worth about $11 bucks. [;)]

I was really hoping to quit my job and start my own business, but I guess that's not going to work out just yet.

1917 is the year my papa was born. He'll be 90 next month, God willing. Pretty long time to be around--for a penny AND for a papa. [^]

The penny to keep an eye out for is a 1909 BVD (or whatever those letters are).

I think you mean 1909 S (San Francisco) VDB
First year and I believe the most desirable of all Lincoln pennines.
I always wanted one along with a 1916-D Mercury Dime and I think A 1937 D "3 legged" buffalo nickel
Put the penny back where you found it!! It will be cheaper in the long run!!
