RPK PREBUY QUESTION
I'm thinking about buying a RPK rifle which appears to be a form of AK. I was just wondering if anyone has an RPK or shot one? They seem pretty neat with the bipod already installed on the gun. I like the way AK's shoot so I immagine this will shoot very similar.

I have an nhm-91 (chinese rpk) awesome, but not as accurate with bipod installed.
be aware that the light barrelled yugo ones trade for more like 500 and the heavy 100-200 more0 -
Cool, thanks for the advice. I don't see the heavy barrel models very often. I always see the $500 RPK's around town. I only shoot a couple times a year so I don't think it would really matter too much either way. I estimate I would put 500-1000 rounds through the rifle a year. 0 -
i like mine a lot, super reliable with GOOD mags, and accurate without the bipod that puts pressure on the bbl. yugo bipod is closer to the reciever, probally not as bad on accuracy 0 -
So you think the bipod throws off bullet trajectory? 0 -
Whats wrong with a RPD, no mags required. 0 -
What's an RPD? 0 -
Buy an RPK with a rear mount bipod that folds forward.
They are a more accurate design.

Plus there are about three different barrel diameters floating around right now.
The more expensive heavier barrels are more accurate.0 -

RPD = Real Purdy Davis0 -
Nice pics, thanks for the help. Yeah, I like the rear mount bipod design a little better. Does the bipod and long barrel make this gun heavy? Can you still shoot it will standing or is it too long and akward? 0 -

The only heavy barrel RPK's I've seen are the Yugo's cooling fins at the rear so they have to have the bi-pod at the front ... who has the heavy barrels with the rear bipod?0 -
This is a RPD.....
