BTW, Dwight Yokum's Long White Cadillac is not a Cadillac song. It's a country song about suicide.

Well theres a caddy in it

    Maybellene..Chuck Berry

Maybellene, why cant you be true?
Oh maybellene, why cant you be true?
Youve started back doing the things you used to do.

As I was motivatin over the hill
I saw maybellene in a coup de ville.
A cadillac a-rollin on the open road,
Nothin will outrun my v8 ford.
    The cadillac doin bout ninety-five,
Shes bumper to bumber rollin side by side.

Maybellene, why cant you be true?
Oh maybellene, why cant you be true?
Youve started back doing the things you used to do.

Pink in the mirror on top of the hill,
Its just like swallowin up a medicine pill.
First thing I saw that cadillac grille
Doin a hundred and ten gallopin over that hill.
    Offhill curve, a downhill strecth,
Me and that cadillac neck by neck.

Maybellene, why cant you be true?
Oh maybellene, why cant you be true?
Youve started back doing the things you used to do.

The cadillac pulled up ahead of the ford,
The ford got hot and wouldnt do no more.
It then got clody and it started to rain,
I tooted my horn for a passin lead
The rain water blowin all under my hood,
I knew that was doin my motor good.

Maybellene, why cant you be true?
Oh maybellene, why cant you be true?
Youve started back doing the things you used to do.

The motor cooled down, the heat went down
And thats when I heard that highway sound.
The cadillac a-sittin like a ton of lead
A hundred and ten a half a mile ahead.
The cadillac lookin like its sittin still
And I caught maybellene at the top of the hill.

Maybellene, why cant you be true?
Oh maybellene, why cant you be true?
Youve started back doing the things you used to do.

    "One Piece At A Time"

Well, I left Kentucky back in '49
An' went to Detroit workin' on a 'sembly line
The first year they had me puttin' wheels on cadillacs

Every day I'd watch them beauties roll by
And sometimes I'd hang my head and cry
'Cause I always wanted me one that was long and black.

One day I devised myself a plan
That should be the envy of most any man
I'd sneak it out of there in a lunchbox in my hand
Now gettin' caught meant gettin' fired
But I figured I'd have it all by the time I retired
I'd have me a car worth at least a hundred grand.

    [CHORUS]
I'd get it one piece at a time
And it wouldn't cost me a dime
You'll know it's me when I come through your town
I'm gonna ride around in style
    I'm gonna drive everybody wild
'Cause I'll have the only one there is a round.

So the very next day when I punched in
With my big lunchbox and with help from my friends
I left that day with a lunch box full of gears
Now, I never considered myself a thief
GM wouldn't miss just one little piece
Especially if I strung it out over several years.

The first day I got me a fuel pump
And the next day I got me an engine and a trunk
Then I got me a transmission and all of the chrome
The little things I could get in my big lunchbox
Like nuts, an' bolts, and all four shocks
But the big stuff we snuck out in my buddy's mobile home.

Now, up to now my plan went all right
'Til we tried to put it all together one night
And that's when we noticed that something was definitely wrong.

    The transmission was a '53
And the motor turned out to be a '73
And when we tried to put in the bolts all the holes were gone.

So we drilled it out so that it would fit
And with a little bit of help with an A-daptor kit
We had that engine runnin' just like a song
Now the headlight' was another sight
We had two on the left and one on the right
But when we pulled out the switch all three of 'em come on.

The back end looked kinda funny too
But we put it together and when we got thru
Well, that's when we noticed that we only had one tail-fin
About that time my wife walked out
And I could see in her eyes that she had her doubts
But she opened the door and said "Honey, take me for a spin."

So we drove up town just to get the tags
And I headed her right on down main drag
I could hear everybody laughin' for blocks around
But up there at the court house they didn't laugh
'Cause to type it up it took the whole staff
And when they got through the title weighed sixty pounds.

    [CHORUS]
I got it one piece at a time
And it didn't cost me a dime
You'll know it's me when I come through your town
I'm gonna ride around in style
    I'm gonna drive everybody wild
'Cause I'll have the only one there is around.

    [Spoken] Ugh! Yow, RED RYDER
    This is the COTTON MOUTH
In the PSYCHO-BILLY CADILLAC Come on

    Artist/Band: Confederate Railroad
Lyrics for Song: Daddy Never Was The Cadillac Kind
Lyrics for Album: Confederate Railroad - Greatest Hits
We were poor when I was a youngun
I don't remember ever going hungry
Daddy made sure we didn't do without
I went to school with some of these fellas
They had money and I was jealous
I didn't know then what I know now
Daddy'd say you can't judge a book by looking at its cover
It's what's inside that really matters

    CHORUS
Daddy never was the Cadillac kind
He said some things just glitter and shine
He taught us that love was the one thing money couldn't buy
Daddy never was the Cadillac kind

I left home right out of high school
Bought me a big car thought I was real cool
    Cruisin' around the old neighborhood
I'd see Dad after church on Sunday
I'd say you'll have to go riding with me someday
He just said no, I never understood
He asked me how I bought it, I told him on credit
Daddy just smiled, I'll never forget it

    REPEAT CHORUS

It took a while but now I'm grown
I've settled down with kids of my own
    The more I give them
    The more they want

    Daddy left us last November
I don't remember him ever looking better
All laid out in his Sunday best
I'm sure instead of all the attention
All he'd of wanted was a few words mentioned
A simple man simply laid to rest
As they drove him away in that big Cadillac
With a tear in my eye I had to laugh

    REPEAT CHORUS

Yeah. You're right. Cadillac songs are rarely about Cadillacs

I can't find the words to Michael Martin Murphey's "Geronimo's Cadillac" so the Picture will have to do.

(Kid Rock feat. Hank Williams, Jr.)
I seen a fly slimmy on the avenue
When I was on tour in baton rouge
A mean little missy with a attitude
    I played it smooth
    No need to be rude
    I stopped the ship
    Stepped off like chewie..
Ran some game like louie louie
    Talked her on the bus
Talked her out of her shorts
    No lie y'all, I'm here 2 report

    She had some cadillac pu$$!
    Some cadillac pu$$!
    She had some cadillac pu$$!
    She had some cadillac pu$$!
Man it would drive you wild
