Fall is here for sure. The blackbirds are gathering together in the hundreds. Could be a hard winter.

Sleds are way too expensive for me. I can't see paying the asking prices for, essentially, a toy. Trying to save up for a decent piece of land to build on.

Temps are still running near 90 here in SW Va. The New River just barley has water running over the Dam, to dry to even fish. Mowed the yard yesterday for the first time in a Month.

...Front bringing it down into the low 60's here too, come Tues. night; another later in the week, into the 50's. About right on time during our normal years...this has been the closest to a normal year in about 6-7 years...[;)]

Someone told me that the New River was the lowest since '64. I can't do any squirrel hunting or deer scouting, it's just too blame hot!

Yep, looks and feels like fall here too. Leaves are starting to change and it's so dang cold in this house right now(6:07PDT)that I should build a fire.

NOPE! Been doing the same thing for several years around here. Early September is cold then it warms up toward the end and stay above average into December.

Dakotashooter, where you at in ND?.....your right about past trends.....but i don't think so for this year, the weather pattern has changed more to normal i think.......though i'll never complain too much about the very mild winters or very we have had for past 6-7 years.......guess we'll see hell weathermen get paid big bucks and i am pretty sure they couldn't tell you the right weather conditions even if they stood out in it and told you about it.[:D]
