Camaro-Firebird help

on the third gen. camaros and firebirds, are the 5 speed shifter plates interchangable? I see a lot of camaro ones, but nothin for firebirds. any help?

  What do you mean? Can you take one from a firebird and put it on a camaro? We took parts off a firebird and put it on Moms camaro, before she sold it, It was a 96. Any junkyard could tell you whats inter-changeable.

  i just want to know if 3rd gen(82-92) camaros and firebirds 5 speed shifter plates are interchangable. They look the same, and lots of other parts on them are interchangable. But when I looked for one for a firebird, all i found were camaro ones that didnt say if they fit a firebird.

  they fit, but it might have "camaro" written on it

  According to Mitchells Crash manuel, that does not show shift gates.
  
  The transmision mounts on a manual transmission varies as;
  93 - only
  94-97 is broken down between coupes & convertables
  98-01 are all the same
  No listing past 2001
