who has night vision?
i'm been looking at a few low end night vision scopes, but i cannot find one listed with a day filter, so i have a few questions
does your have a day filter? if so what brand and model?
i used to have a old Russian gen 3 rifle scope, it had a day filter it consisted od a lens cap with a tiny hole in it, it actually worked pretty well
so if anyone has one with out a day filter could you try and see it a cover such as a piece of card board with a 1mm hole in the center would work?

Any opaque material with a tiny pinhole in the center works fine as long as it completely restricts light from entering. 0 -
http://www.opticsplus.net They have an ATN model for $479.00 They come with an aluminium screw on cover with a pin hole in it, to screw on the front of the scope. 0 -

I was very happy with this model when I bought mine. It also had a illuminated red cross hair on it.0 -
I always ate my carrots when I was a kid.
I don't need no stinkin' night vision. You should've had your carrots!0 -

why it is just a lense cap as p3skyking stated0 -
Here's my piece of junk even. http://www.nightgalaxy.com/Yukon_NVMT_2x24_Night_Vision_Monocular_1st_Gen_p/yukon-24021.htm
But i keep it...Maybe it would be possible to upgrade to gen 3 or so ?
If anyone knows. But then the illuminator most likely needs upgrading to.
At present its best use is for going down in the basement w airgun ,sit down in total dark and give the pesky rats an unpleasant surprise...[;)] Well its fun to actually...0 -
I do not own, but have used a pair of ATN night vission goggles, complete with the head piece where you can retract the goggles up and out of your face or put them back down. If I were in this position, ATN is the only brand I would look at. The quality will literally take your breath away when you use them. Top notch stuff. 0 -
Opticsplanet is cheaper on the ATN's (well is not anymore)...But where do u find the best prices ? 0 -
Ive got the ATN MK 440 it has the same lens cap with a tiny hole in it you describe.I dont use it in the daytime though. The cover seems a bit crappy.I love it at night. 0 -
Oh your sticking with generation one. 0 -
Just sold a ATN 440 cause of calibre size shooting at night. NO larger than a .22 here in SC. that stinks.. However I suggest no generation 1 scopes. Generation 2 or higher works well. I stole this one off of fleabay and let it go for the same price.

I have been waiting for something like this for the public since I saw the military "only" being advertised. This works with your existing scopes and can be used with what you have now http://www.atncorp.com/DayNight/ShortMediumWeaponSights/ATNPS22-HPT . 0 -

One of the reasons to get rid of my ATN 440 was the weight of that scope.. over 4#'s. No misprint it weighed over 4#. Put that on an HK 91 with a bipod and a full mag 20 rds and the gun weight was over 17#. Located the price for it also..
