  unfortunately it is true in the sense that no child left behind is nonsense.
  
  My physics teaching assignment last semester involved a calss for elementary education majors. Most of them student teach, they say all it does is prevent the teachers from actually teaching the kids.
  
  They are forced to train robots who can perform well on asinine multiple-guess exams rather than students who can think and reason.
