Kahr mag problems
I just read this on another forum. Why in the world would a cop carry a gun that he knows has unreliable mags? But he says he still loves the gun!
"I have both the Kahr TP-9 and the Kahr PM-9. I carry the TP on duty and the PM as a b.u.g. and off duty. Love both pistols.
What I don't love is the mags. First of all, the top lip is sharp, so loading is a pain. The mags with the finger grip don't sit perfectly flush in the TP-9 either.
But mostly it's because they don't hold the top round secure. On duty I carry 4 extra 8 round mags in an Uncle Mikes slim-line mag pouch. At the end of the day I always have a few bullets loose in the pouch. There's no outside reason for those rounds to be popping out. I've never had problems with any of magazines for other semi-autos I've carried.
It's not just me. I know quite a few cops who carry the PM-9 or PM-40 off duty who have told me they had tons of trouble with the magazines. Unfortunately there aren't any reliable after market mags for these pistols that I know of."

Wait a minute, aren't you the Keltec lover and called the Kahrs Junk .. Why not carry the small 9mm Keltec you have? Just buy Kahr mags and you won't have any trouble. Obviously the aftermarts are not made correctly. Did you see my link on the Pocket nine , Kahr lawsuit. And you stated you had a Colt Pocket nine, why not carry it?

You didn't read this very closely did you? The quote is from another person over at packing.org, it is not my post. And the problems he and other cops are having are with FACTORY Kahr mags, and he is wondering if their are AFTERMARKET mags that work better. You might want to read posts closer before commenting on them.0 -
I am glad he is a happy Kahr owner... Can't tell from your post your comments or theirs... Either way, someone has a Colt Pocket nine. Advice, buy some more Factory Kahr mags there is nothing wrong with them... HIs sound like they are wore out from shooting. [:D][:D] You might want to read the Keltec post above it... Sounds like some very unhappy owners.[}:)][}:)]
