belarus tractors
I have friend who has belarus tractor 4wd who is selling it. I think it is a late 60's or 70's model. I cant really find anything here on the web about the value of this tractor. I think it is a 50-75 horse tractor. I have drove the tractor runs great, also the tractor stays in 4wd. does anyone here now anything about this tractor or its value.I can buy the tractor for 2200 dollars. thanks

Here is a link to TractorHouse.com (Belarus). Maybe you could find one there and compare prices to what you are thinking of buying.

There used to be a dealer in my area and several of the local farmers bought one. I never heard anything very bad about them other than they were a bit crude by U.S. standards, but dirt doesn't care.
I would sure check on the availability of parts because it's a long drive to Russia to pick them up.[:)]0 -

Like dlrjj says, parts would be your main concern, but for that price for a good running tractor of that size, how could you go wrong? Sounds like a heck of a buy to me.0 -
PASS, IMO nambu 0 -
...check on parts availability! If they can't be had, or the turn around time is "forever" pass.
More of the working/needed parts fail more often than the engine.
...and unless you are hooked up, or you are a machinest, welder...good luck...[;)]
