Every year as some of you remember I go to Talladegs Al for the Nascar race. If any of my gunbroker friends are going to be there let me know and we will pop a top and have a good time 0 -
Would love to be there! Only NASCAR race I have been to was at Talledega. Can't remember the exact year. Bobby Labonte won. Remember listening to the scanner during the last few laps. Jeff Gordon was leading, Bobby was second and brother Terry was running third. Jeff and his crew chief were sure they had it in the bag, because they figured that if Bobby made a move, Terry, being Jeff's teammate, would go with Jeff. Didn't happen. On the last lap, coming out of turn 2, Bobby went high and Terry pushed him past Jeff! Evernham's language on the radio got a little "blue"! Guess blood is thicker than a teammate! That was also the race where Earnhardt and Elliot got upside on the front stretch. Good race!
We were in Birmingham this summer and the kids and I made the trip over for the tour. Had a great time! They were paving the track and widening pit road at the time. Great museum there also.

I'd love to go there sometime but for now only get enough time off to go the local (Kansas Speedway) track. Acouple years ago we went to Bristol and that was a blast but quite the raod trip from MO too. 0 -
going to the bush race at bristol in the summer...cant get tickets to the cup race but there are still bush tix...still tossing around the idea of going to atlanta this weekend...mom gave me permission now im just trying to decide if i want to deal with all the b.s. 0 -
so we are all set to go any of you going to be down there stop by and sample some of our tennessee bottled water and taco and johnny boy from louisiana said they are gonna bring 150# of crawfish so yall come on down....oh yeah, last year there was a guy that had 2 30 gallon vats of boiled peanuts and a professional karaokee system in the the area where campground a and b come together right off of turn two SWEET 0
