# 9 shot gun shells ?

    Oh, you can find them, but nobody uses them so they are not abundant.

    7.5 is the shot for clays and small game and larger for goose, duck and crows, etc.

    Or, you can load your own. But nowadays, its cheaper to find them on sale, rather than buying the components.

    #9 is much smaller/lighter and slows down real fast. Sure, you get more pellets, but they ain't no good if they are behind the target.

    #9 is used in skeet, and some use it for the first shot in trap doubles. Basically your limited to about 35 yards range. Any further and the shot run out of velocity.

    But the advantage is that you have a large pellet count and hopefully no holes in the pattern.
