How many days in jail has Mel Gibson served for his multiple DUI arrests ? How many has Paris Hilton served ?

zero and zero ? i guess you cant count very well jamesrk. my head might explode but at least there was something in there to begin with

Where I live a DUI costs you a minimum of 24 consecutive hours in jail.
But a probation violation is considered to be a much more serious offense.
edit: probation, not parole.0 -

What's the answer, genius?0 -
In the Land of Fruit and Nuts (thats Kalif.), parole and probation are two different things.
Parole is when you are let out of PRISON early. Prison is the sentence you get if you are convicted of a felony and are sentenced to do MORE that a year.
Probation is what you might get if convicted of a MISDEMEANOR. If you are sentence to do a year or less you would do that time in a jail, not a prison. Probation can mean many things, but if you violate the terms of the probation, you can do time in jail ( like Paris is doing).
So is that clear as mud to all non Fruit and Nut persons out there?0 -

See? Mel Gibson didn't have to do any jail time for his DUI either.0 -
Paris is not doing time in jail for her DUI. She is doing time for VIOLATION of her probation violation.
Of course part and parcel of probation is not commiting any violation of law. And low and behold another DUI is a violation of law.
So the Gibson / Hilton comparison is apples and oranges.
Now is it as clear as mud?0 -
ok...i got one...
kevin smith (silent bob) vs michael moore???
i gotta go with silent bob.0 -

oh contraire...mel gibson has multiple DUI arrests and convictions. each one of those convictions carried a probation with them. while gibson was on probation he received another DUI. he NEVER served any time in jail. however, paris hilton has ONE dui arrest and a driving on suspended license. she got 45 days in jail.
NO jail time for multiple DUI's for Gibson and 45 days in jail for one DUI for Hilton. fair ? i think not0 -
OJ, let's settle this question once and for all. You go out to LA-LA-Land and get you a DUI. Then get picked up twice for driving on a suspended license. If you don't have to do any jail time, I'll publicly admit that everything you have said is true and correct. I'll even say I think Paris Hilton is cute. I'll even say I think she got ???? oh, never mind.
If we don't hear from you for forty-five days, we'll understand.0 -
OJ, I'll concede that you know more about Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton and other Hollywood types, but I'd like to see your reference for saying "mel gibson has multiple DUI arrests and convictions." 0 -

you can google it just like i did. i live in LA, i know plenty of people who have gotten DUI's....none of them ever served more than 2-3 days in jail.0 -
I GOOGLEd it before I asked the question. I couldn't find any. Should I take that as my answer? 0 -
OJ, if you are fourteen years of age or older, it's time for you to start making a conscious effort to start growing up. If you are not fourteen years of age or older, it's past your bedtime. 0 -
Google as a source of court records?
Oh please.0
