The man's an ahole from day one. Wouldn't p on him if he were on fire.

He slid a zoning change through by being sneaky. Now he's having a time, neighbors are being worse than the building inspectors. A couple are plotting some sort of scheme to rid the county of chicken houses, walked away, don't want to know anything about it.

If I smell his chickens, he's gonna have a problem with me, personally.

Yup. These things always involve public notice. Apparently at the time either all the neighbors were not paying attention or just didn't bother to check it out. Though sometimes in small communities and rural areas these things are not always properly. If you honestly think the law was circumvented have an attorney look at the proceedural aspects of the rezone.

    Been there done that.[V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V]

If managed well it is a inconvience. If managed badly it is a living hell. Mostly it is a problem of chicken manure removal. Get your water analyzed now so as to build a court case if needed(badly managed). DO NOT give drinking water drawn from a well close to the chicken ranch to a infant. It could possibily be fatal. Forget barbecues in the back yard. The flies will ruin that. Flies will travel up to 25 miles but will mostly stay close and ruin your day. I have seen a 20' X 10' office building located 1/4 mile from a chicken ranch 75% covered with flies. If county health says flies are not a disease vector you will know they have been paid off.

Here in Boise they only notify you if you live within 300 ft of a zoneing change. They want to put in a truss manufacturing 150 acre commerical operation right across the creek from me and I didn't get notified. It's 375 ft from my property line.

75 semis 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We formed a Neibhorhood Orignization and hired a lawyer. The operation violates the city's own zoning plan, but that never stopped them before.

    We shall see.
